Did this file get deleted? I just dug through all the available servers on eMule, and there's no ISO of this game.

Edit: Nevermind. The file name is so long that the "faery" I searched for didn't show up in the available window space. As such, I didn't see it and thought the file was something else entirely. Oops.

For anyone tired of emule's painfully slow downloads, try this...

That's a fan site for FTA2. There you'll find a link to download the full game from MegaUpload (276MB). It's supposed to run in XP, but I've yet to get it to. However, if you download the 17MB+ file from this site, take the "setsound.exe," "fta2.exe" and the "drivers" fodlers from that and drop them in the bigger folder, you can run it in DOSBox.

The only music I can't get to work is GUS. It can't find the drivers for some reason, even though they're in the "drivers" folder.

Anyway, it's an alternate way to get the full game and play it should emule do to you what it did to me (2kb/s download for hours).

Nice find, Coop. Thanks!

A link that works? The eMule one says 'ill-formed hash' when I use it, and the other link doesn't connect to anything.

I still happen to have the CD I snatched from eMule back in the day. If you want I could upload it this weekend or so, if I can find out how it's done.

That would be great! :)

OK, what's the best hosting website? I'll try to find out, I've never used them, and our sticky's old. Or I could make a torrent. Let's see if I can't get it done by Monday.

Wish I knew, but I've never uploaded a game before. The ISOs I've downloaded from here have all been from 4shared, though. 4shared seems to be a popular one here.

Silly me, I didn't realize the full CD can be hosted by ourselves, since we had the size limit raised recently. :) I guess this thread is no longer necessary. I've just updated the game page, go ahead and download:

As a matter of fact, this game's not the best example of enhanced CD content. It has only few cutscenes, and speech. But since conversations in this game are pointless, speech is so too, and it may actually prevent you from jumping over repetitive stock sentences to save time by hitting space, until the speech playback is over.
