Orange vs. Doorhinge
 

Where I live, in Niagara Region, these two words are perfect rhymes. However, Orange is not supposed to rhyme with anything. Where you guys live, does your accent make these two words rhyme? What about other words that aren't supposed to rhyme: month, purple, silver etc. ?

All I can think of now are the singing pirates from monkey island 3, and I have an urge to replay it...

In my area, orange is pronounced or-anj, and doorhinge is pronounced door-hinge. Never heard of them rhyming.

How about "purple nurple"? Ok, nurple isn't a word, but it's a great thing to give away, and not receive! :bleh:

Orange rhymes with lonzenge. At least it works with my accent.

I always rhyme hinge with orinj. Hinge also rhymes with syringe, minge and binge. And let's not forget the lost city of Zinj. Which apparently the Zambians can't find, because they're too busy performing cabaret for Tim Curry. Which is ridiculous. After all, the man is Dr Frankenfurter. He wrote the book on cabaret...

With a little effort I can fart something that rhymes with orange, does that count? :whistling:
