after having listened to some great audio productions in this category
i feel encouraged to post a few links to productions of mine, too...

Dreamtrap
a somewhat weird piece of slow breakbeat music.

Sigh of the Siren
another example of strobe's breakbeats, but faster and more uplifting and groovy.

Solace
this is a long chillout ttrack with many tribalistic influences which i did for a nice girl.

all tracks have been done in "reason 2.5".

i hope you enjoy!

i have done some tries of classic music. using reason i throwed in a few ideas
which include some piano lines, violines and stuff....

it's only a rough draft, only a loop, to be precise. the mix is not worked out
and there's no real arrangement yet. nevertheless i would appreciate any
constructive comment about this little attempt...

thank you!

You are my new god :D

Especially if you help me with my music :sneaky:

The first tracks are very professionally made, but what do you mean with reason?
About the calssic music, after it ends, you should add more background accompanement to produce a partially strong rise feelings effect and from that moment on the song would just begin. But that would be not exactly classical music then. I hope you understand what I mean, as it's not as easy for me to explain it in English.

You could tell him in German :D

I don't know any technical terms for music, either way. Boo :not_ok:

thanks for you kind feedback! :)

@ freddy: "reason" is a composing software developed by the swedish company
propellerheads.

it's like a virtual music production studio for your computer. there are many different
devices you can choose and combine, e.g. a mixer, synthesizers, samplers, a loop
player, and effect gears (such as chorus, reverb, compressor, equilizer,...)

you have those main groups available and can plug as many of them together as
your cpu power allows you to...

the general appearance/interface of reason is mainly grafical. there's a front side
where all knobs, buttons, displays and faders are shown (to be precise each device
is presented as a rack, just like when you use real hardware equipment). then,
you can switch to the backside where the cables are located in order to route them
the way you want.

finally, at the bottom of the sceen, there's a sequencer, where all installed devices
are listed. you use the sequencer to compose the song, for that's the area in which
you put the notation for each device.

this is only a rough description. i can only advise you to have a look at the website
of propellerheads, because this is a very powerful yet easy to handle program and
delivers great results, if you are patient enough to practice how all procedures work
best. "reason" is very flexible and supplies you with many possiblities to put up your
required setup of devices and arrangements for your compositions.

that's the link. actually, i just see that propellerheads is announcing "reason 3.0"!
how, i'm using the 2.5 version, which is very cool as well!

i hope, i haven't bored you with this blahblah..it's just that i really like this programm
and i recommend it to anybody who is keen on doing music on pc!

thanks for your suggestion on the classic piece! as i've mentioned, at the moment
it's only a mere collection of ideas. i dunno excactly how to develop it further, but
your feedback gives me a good view on how to process :ok:

@ tai:
and if i refuse to help you with your music i'd be you new devil? :sneaky:

j/k of course i will try to help...i'll pm you about the details

Strobe, you music is great and for the classic song I'd suggest one thing: add one second of something to the end and play it to yourself once more. You see when that song goes over and over again it seems like it's neverending! X-Cellent job! :ok:

Strobe 21-02-2005 11:09 AM

thanks alot for your comment, troop!!

actually, i have looped it precisely in the sound program (reason) i did this loop in...
but somehow it does not loop properly. anyway, good to know that it seems to be
worth to develop further.

Glad to be of service :D . I'm good when it comes to comments. Create more! You make an xcellent composer. :ok:
