[Ishar 2] Virus found in the archive ?
 

Hi,

My antivirus told me it found a virus in the Ishar 2 archive on this site. Virus name : "BehavesLike:BAT.Gen".

However, that antivirus (bitdefender 2009) is sometimes paranoid, and the involved file is : "INSTALL.BAT" Do you think it is a false positive ?

It's not a virus. BitDefender must have flagged it because it copies a lot of files around, but then again it's an installer. And since the game is already installed as you downloaded it, you don't need to run nor have INSTALL.BAT and can safely delete it. But again, it's not a virus.

Just downloaded and checked with AVG, no problem for me :)

It's a false positive.
