Forum member 'Miles' claims to have got Windows 3.1 to run in Dosbox.

I do believe the gauntlet is down.

That's not really news, the installation procedure offers no difficulties compared to doing it on a real computer:

Anyway there are problems, and the more programs you run the more likely you are to encounter some. Virtual PC is better to emulate old Windows versions including Windows 3.1. But programs for Windows 3.1 run natively in Windows 9x, so the latter's the only version you'll need to emulate most of the time.
