Space Strategy game: Unknown

I swear this was made by Sierra or perhaps Epic Megagames, but there was this really fun space strategy game that i used to play that i want to play again, but i don't know what the name of the game is.

I remember you could buy/make some ships, and send them over to attack other ones. I think it was like you get one big ship and several little ones maybe? It was VGA i believe, maybe like 256 colors?

Pretty vague i know, but i don't think there were planets involved, if that helps. It was purely strategy though, and the music, sound.

Can anyone help? :(

Relic was a acquired by THQ, an ESA member (that would mean 10 years of protection for Homeworld). Homeworld 2 was published by Sierra, an ESA member (that means 15 years of protection for Homeworld 2). In addition, Homeworld 2 is still sold, just like Homeworld. I mention Homeworld 2, because Sierra could have acquired the rights to Homeworld, but the outcome would be the same as with THQ.

Erm, now I hid the important thing in the middle of nowhere...:
Homeworld is still sold, so everything else is irrelevant.
(And why do I write screeds then?)
