Im having the same black screen issue with X-com for windows. Im running Vista and i have tired to run the game in Compatibility mode. I get sound but no video. Can anyone help?

The fix to this problem always be and will always be to download the DOS version from the same review page of this site and use DOSBox to run it.
Not so sure DOSBox can run under Vista just yet though... |
I just installed Dosbox and i got it running on vista. Im am able to play x-com terror of the deep. But i cant find x-com ufo defense. Can you send me the direct link?

X-COM UFO Defence aka X-COM UFO Enemy Unknown
http://www.abandonia.com/games/en/38...emyUnknown.htm |
I just installed that one now. When i try to run it in Dosbox it says it needs to run with win32 and then it quits out.
