Today, many broadcasting companies who stream their content, and webcasters like Pandora.com, Live365, and even Yahoo, are keeping silent. This Day of silence is in protest to the actions of the RIAA and US Congress who seek to drastically increase the royalty fees that internet broadcasters must pay for licensed music. If you are a US citizen, please phone your representatives in support of the Internet Radio Equality Act. Contact information for your representatives, as well as more detailed information on the plight of 'net radio can be found at Savenetradio.org

You forgot to mention RIAA are a bunch of gaytard lawyers who don't like music.

I use live365 (paid for) all the time and consider it one of my main uses of broadband
i'm really hopping that this stupid idea gets squashed :titan: as it is the only way I can find radio stations that play the variety of music i like without damn adverts . as it is at present the subscription is pretty well priced but if they were forced higher I would be forced to cancel :( ( i'm uk based otherwise I would contact my representatives ) |
I used Live365 back when nobody but music nerds had heard of them, but mainly use Pandora right now. I also have an XM subscription for my car, so I get their online service too (but I think they're large enough to be mostly unaffected by this.) If this gets too out of hand, however, even larger subscription services like XM could end up raising their rates!
