My windows on my new computer are not showing central european letters. this is particulary annoying in total comander as well as when you are installing thigs.
Now i don't know if i installed the uni-code or not in the bginning of WinXP instalation. but how do i fix this? how do i get the Central european letter to show up on install wizzards and in those menus? i tried setting the writing to Arial and switched to central european text in total commander, but nothing happens. i need to see letters ?šž another thing is that the icon for disk removal (unmounting) doesn't want to hide. well actually it hides and a little arrow shows in taskbar, but i want it to dissapear completelly from the taskbar. it's because the computer will be used by someone who can get confused and i don't want her to unmount my disks. i know it can be done because this computer that i am on now doesn't show that icon. i also dont' have it at work. |
that disk removal thingy appears for me as well.. i dont know why actually, but if you click 'remove hard drive' it wont remove it=) (i presume you mean HDD, not flash disk)
and about the ?žš, is your default windows language set to slovenian? you had to pick it during winxp installation. try changing location in time zones (double click time) |

Control Panel -> globalization/language settings. You need to choose your default codepage and may have to install extra ones.
