So Vista became downloadable on MSDN and I have just installed it. Well I like the new interface but it shows desktop icons as very large, though that should be customizable. Here are pics:

Desktop on First Run:

Desktop (notice the largeness of icons). The mydocuments now shows you Username instead (Under Recycle bin named Filip):

Personalize Windows is the replacement to Desktop properties. You change wallpaper and screensaver, ect here:

Controlpanel has new icons:

Oh and here are the new cursors. The hourglass is gone, replace with a circle. The glow moves around the circumfrence.

This is Windows Ultimate (LOL at the name) edition, which I upgrade WinXP from. The installer is so self-automated it scared me. Basically the only thing you do is tell it to install updates or not, and some drive partitioning.

It took me years and several different platform lauches before I finnaly reluctantly switched from Windows 98 SE to Windows XP... I sincerely hope I'll do the same this time too. <_<

I don't intend to update to Vista until its completely unavoidable. Getting a new Windows program always means new settings to get used to and new bugs to get annoyed with (*Curses Microsoft*). <_<

I have enough problems with xp and I don't even want to think about vista...

I don't think so. You'll need to buy it. :)
