But I've heard of a writer who passed three months playing Civ4, without making his work and missing the submission to his editor... then he deleted the game and broke the Civ4 CD... :omg2:

Here you can read about that. The first time he had to ask for an extension, something had to be blamed.

Something is weird about this page. For like 5 minutes I thought "hey, this is a pretty good practical joke". But then It occurred to me that they were serious about it. BUT when I saw that video, they had people like George W. and Sid M. there, and they looked a lot like the real ones. George W. even made fun of himself as George W. Bush.
So does anyone know whether that's a serious page?
It either is, then it's definitely not right, or it isn't, then it's an overblown joke.

This is something for Titan. Personally, I've never seen the big deal about Civilization.

Haha. I had a class mate who used to play WoW. Well, he was still playing when he changed schools, which is when I last saw him. Anyway, he had a 3-month-submission. Effective playing time: 1 month.

Seen it allready, signed up allready, realized that there is no cure for Civilization allready.

Well.. i have a special fondness for the Civ-games... played Civ1 on the Amiga 500 and 600 waaaay more then what was healthy ;)

The Civ4 adiction is sorta usefull ;) Whenever i get nailed by the AI, i head to the airsoft-areana and takes out the frustraitions on someone there ;)
