I love this game too...I used to play it as a kid alot, the AI could use a bit of work, but it can be fun against another human too. Just takes me a while to get used to the controls in the battle field at times (I only played it on a Nintendo)

:) Thanks for putting this one up

Wow it i s hard to play this game !
No manual available?

Not thats here at least, KOEI manuals can be hard to find.

I will look for one and see if they want it if I find Gemfires manual..but if you need help til then I would go to www.gamefaqs.com they got a manual there, look for Gemfire under NES.

Took me a moment to figure out which .exe was tha game :D

The intro was loads of fun... "Behold the crown of seven jewels..." and the screen shows a crown with eight gems LOL

Rofl, friend of mine used to play this game obsessively. He and a buddy of his even used names from this game in Starcraft. The one guy made a name for himself. They were Pastha and Fachan. :)

I'll have to play it, again. When it first came out, I tried it, and found it one of the weaker KOEI titles. It was at a time when they (rather foolishly) thought the reason their PC titles weren't selling in the US was because they were too complex and numbers heavy for the market. The problem wasn't that: it was the lack of significant new features between updates on established titles like Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Personally, I think they really hit their stride again with Balor of the Evil Eye, the only title they had input from an American development team, but by then the corporate heads in Japan had decided to pull the plug on the US branch and the PC side of things.

Loved this game, played it on Genesis toooo damn much. But I was able to beat the game starting with the girl who has no wizard.

p.s. the ending scene for her is the same as for all the rest. thought maybe cause she was a chick it would be different.

p.p.s. if you like this game try Master of Magic, my friends and I still play it to this day. which is in no way pathetic.
