Seems like he "escaped" the trials.
Atleast, let's hope that some of the ppl he has caused harm to will feel a little better. http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe/03/11...ovic/index.html |
He will never be guilty now...
|
Thats a shame indeed :(
|
oh, can it! they had 10 years to convict him, and they couldn't. besides he did spend the rest of his life in a prison cell, right? and that was supposed to be his punishment anyway.
|
Remember that when he was caught he wanted to be be executed, and was dismayed to know that he was facing a trial and life in prison instead of death. I do think his death was a bad thing (as I do with all deaths), not least because his sentence has now been cut short.

He should have rotted in jail for the next 20 - 30 years, he got away easily...
|
I absolutely agree that he got away easily. Justice isn't served.
However, I think he should have got 4-5 lifetimes... That would be most appropriate. |

I'm sure he's having us on.
The sad thing is that most of the Milosevics of this world get away with it. Whether it's China's gradual destruction of Tibetan culture, Russia turning Chechnya into a rape and money farm for its military, or the US invading Iraq to control oil, it's much the same thing. And the leaders who have done this (for it isn't the bulk of the people in those countries) will never be brought to justice. Milosevic? A shame he never got to the end of the trial. Not because I care about Milosevic, who was a power-mad cynic and war criminal, but because his death doesn't bring closure to those who have lost family thanks to his efforts. Just my opinion. |
