when and how can I post to the general discussion?

Like you'd post to any section of the forum.

If you mean the Games Discussion, then you can't create new threads. You can only post in existing ones.

"Games discussion" is for games actually on site; only we create threads when we add new games. If you want to discuss any other game you can use the "gaming zone."

We have no "general discussion" board. The boards within the "community chatterbox" are open for posting, including the gaming zone. The most general is "blah blah blah."
