I hope I'm not violating any rules of abandonia if I give a link to game download.
Lost in Time download

I really liked this game. It was the first game on cd I had. At that time I thought that in the future one would be able to fit all his/her games on just one cd. Most games had 10-20MB. But today it turns out that even a dvd is not enough for some games;)

@ Shutdownrunner

Your link leads to the ESA statement on Abandonia. It explains why the game cannot be downloaded.

:)

Hi guys!

Jeeze i love this game, since it was actually my first adventure.
I bought the game a long time ago and when I realized that the
floppy was about to die, I put it on CD. I transfered not only all
disks (10!), but also the installed version. Recently I wanted to
play it again. So I used DosBox to install it and when the 1st disk
was copied, the setup asked me to insert the 1st floppy. I then copied
all disks in different folders to my HD, tried again and failed. Now I
created images and mounted them- no success.
I found this tremendous forum and thougt tht you can help me.

Thank you guys!

Hi, I found the cd and installed the game, but when i tried to start it there was just black screen, even by using dosbox.
there was also a black screen at the end of the setup, but i think it was installed successfully.

Can you help me?

I´v downloaded the CD version
and made it work with dosbox and with VDMsound
To play it in dosbox you need a the CVS version of dosbox (you won´t run it without it!) which can mount the CD better
With VDMS you must create your own configuracion from a scratch
you must DISABLE the low level cd-rom support
and in DOS ENVIRONMENT card you must fill the autoexec.bat with word SAPUCDEX
IT REALLY WORKS

try the CVS version of DOSBOX you can mount the discs and change them without quiting the game
and its easyer than in normal dosbox.
OR you can download already installed LIT from the internet (its everywhere but abandonia)
Try the CD version too
it is cool
the soundtrack and better graphics

You can do that in the regular v0.70 - that is, if you read the part of the README file concerning IMGMOUNT command.

Loved this game, played it through many times in the past. Although I usually have to cheat with some of the puzzles and make a copy of the game, use a joker to get a hint, then use that to proceed in the original game. Hey, I love adventure games, I'm just not that good at them. ;)

Was there ever a CD version though? The game gives the distinct impression of being a floppy version of a CD original, and I remember a review mentioning the CD version, but I've never seen it.

Yep, there was a CD version, I prefer having that over the 15-18 floppies.
