A bright doom-like game set in a town or city?

Hello! While browsing around I noticed a new game up on the front page (emerald hunt), and with that old memory resurfacing I find myself searching for something I played years ago. More specifically I played it likely around 2000.

I don't remember a whole lot about the game because during that time I was quite young, but I do still have some details in mind. I remember playing it on likely a windows 98 computer on a blue disc that announced that it contained (I believe?) 25 games on it. The variety of games on it ranged from the original Grand Theft Auto to Emerald Hunt. I can not remember if all the games on there were demos, but I do specifically remember that this game was.

I remember the game being pretty bright, not overly colorful, but definitely not dark. I remember it looking like it may have run off of the doom engine, and one of the weapons you could obtain was a scythe. You went around killing monsters (though I don't remember if the corpses stayed) in a city like area with brick walls and your objective was to reach the end of the level.

I'm sorry if this seems rather vague, but this and one other game having been plaguing my memory, and I'd love to find them, but I was still quite young when I played them so my memories are very spotty and foggy at best.

Unfortunately not. I do quite enjoy both those games, but this is not either one of those two.

No, though I should eventually try my hand at Strife. It looks interesting.

Clive Baker's Undying has a Scythe and was launched in 2001.
