Dark Horizons Lore - Invasion

Hello everybody, I waited for a certain game title to appear on either the abandonia or reloaded site archive, but it never became true. I now took the liberty to share this game title as something freeware/abandonware.

This game is titled, "Dark Horizons Lore: Invasion". You can obtain a copy at http://www.gamershell.com/pc/dark_ho...downloads.html . This game is about big robots set in a future Cold War. There's no real storyline or single player campaign because this game is designed around the Unreal Tournament style. Yes, this game is deemed free/abandonware The only problem is the loss of the main gaming server intended for internet multiplayer. Maybe in time, people at abandonia/reloaded can open up the multiplayer feature.

Well, it seems to be freeware, so I think we can label this as 'approved'.

I do not think that this game is really abandonware because I cannot play this game on Dosbox (it's a Windows/Linux platform). I assume that abandonware games are game working on the Dosbox. Should this game be on the reloaded.org site?

That has nothing to do with. A Game is Freeware if the Game was never sold and it belongs to AR solely.

A Game is abandonware if it isnt sold/Protected/Supported...

You should read this.

So what do I have to do to get 'Dark Horizons Lore - Invasion' onto the AbandoniaReloaded (reloaded.org) site? I tried emailing, but the response is nearly to nonexistent.

Dark Horizons Lore: Invasion

Hi,

Could you make Dark Horizons Lore: Invasion available for download? This was a mech game active from 2005 to 2008; the developer Max Gaming Technologies (MGT) stopped support of the game in 2008. When support stopped, the multiplayer functionality of the game no longer worked. Recently, an old player who knew people at MGT fixed the game so that multiplayer works again, and a small community of players has begun setting up games.

The working version of the game is at https://www.filehosting.org/file/det...re-7-21-19.zip. The player site is at http://groupspaces.com/DarkHorizonsLoreInvasion/.

Thanks!
