Do you exit the game or dosbox?

If you simply stop running DOSBox then the game won't save (it won't know you stopped it). You need to quit the game (na dreturn to DOSBox and then type enter to return to windows - then it should work).

cool ill give that a try thanks :)

If that doesn't help - mount not the directory of the game but just a drive, and then change to the directory of the game manually in DosBox or through the command line in dosbox.conf. Some games don't know where they are located if you mount a directory as a drive in DosBox and can't save the game, so just mount it just like that:

(example) mount c c:/ and not mount c c:/omf or similar.
I hope it's not too confusing what I wrote here :P

You can also go:

MOUNT C C:\MY\DIR\OF\DOS\GAMES

That's nonsense. Didn't you read above? Some games don't save if you mount a certain folder on a drive.

BeefontheBone 25-01-2006 11:13 AM

b[]That[/b]'s nonsense - the emulator treats whatever you mount as C:\. There are a couple of games on the site which require you to create SAVEGAME folders or something similar in their directories.

Oh really? Then try to mount a folder of Wizardry VII and then try to save the game there. Good luck.

Or just keep DOSBox running 24x7. LOL

Simple solution....

Not sure if Data know, are there any planes to make save-state in DOSBox project?

DOSBox has problems with running 24.00 hours (the day changed bit ins't updated)

As far as I know there are plans to add it. But as far as I understand it's quite an undertaking and will take a while to add.
