War Gods
I would do a review of this mortal combat clone, but I'm not sure if we can host it...
The game was published by midway (which is under ESA), but if you do a search on their web site the game doesn't come up, so it's certainly not supported anymore... Also I didn't find any buy links on the regular sites... Also HotU search shows nothing so I think it might be rare... |
GT Interactive (co-publisher) was renamed Atari, Inc. in 2003. My visit to Atari, Inc. didn't show Wargods as supported. I found it sold for 1$ (suggesting a 27th -hand-or-something copy) on some site.

Yeah but those are used copies right? They don't fall under the no go?
|
They probably coined the term 'used copies'. For 1$ they have to be.
Problem is, that like I said, the company changed its name, not only once, but twice! GT Interactive -> Infogrames, Inc. (after being purchased by Infogrames Entertainment SA, 1999) -> Atari, Inc. (according to wikipedia) I know very little of ownership and namechanges, but maybe we ought to check out these company names. The rights to the title could be next to anywhere. So it is a daunting task to find out if it still is being protected. As for 'No Go", that depends on ESA status, if it's still in the shelves ANYWHERE and AB's judgement, I recon. |
The only problem is, that it was published by Midway which is under ESA, and made (? or co-published), by GT Interactive which is now Atari...
However none of those sites contain any information about that game, actually you can't find it anywhere on the web, I was only able to find a couple of reviews... CDaccess also doesn't have that game... |
No go. It's a 1997 Atari/Midway Windows game - and would definately fall under ESA's protection.
