Team Fortress 2
 

For those who don't know it, Valve is having a free weekend and a 50% discount on their game, Team Fortress 2. As of the time of writing, you have 48 hours to get the game and play it. I have and it's massive fun.

My only complaint is the new weapon system. Your chance to get a new weapon is pretty random. In 6 hours of playing, I got the Force-a-Nature and the Axtinguisher. The weird part is, I don't play Scout but I still got the Force-a-Nature! I've been playing Pyro and my only complaint about that class is the lack of long-range weapons (I don't have the flare gun yet).

All in all, with the 50% discount ($19.99 to $9.99), I really want to buy it, but I don't have any money. :doh2:

*I really want the Jarate and the Backburner now.

I decided to gave it a try too and I've been playing it non-stop (kind of). Its awesome alright. I especially like it that you get score even without killing.

And the classes have great diversity. I've myself have been switching between the Scout-Medic-Engineer-Sniper, and a little Spy action sometimes.

I also noticed that there isnt much of lag, with the exception of at the beginning, when I join in a game for the first time.

And I like the new weapon system too. It makes the teams more diverse, so the teams arent full of Snipers and Spy's trying to reach all the achievements for the new toys.

bought it with Gmod for £15. damn good game. but the new unlock system is buggy as fk.

I finally got the flare gun! And that alternate syringe gun with the German name!

Srsly, ever since I got the flare gun, I haven't used the shotgun since. Because , when the enemy is close enough for the shotgun to be effective, you're much better off whipping out your flamethrower.

Now for the Backburner!

the flare gun isn't all that effective in my experience. but i'm more of an engie than a pyro.

It is effective when you have to shoot from long distance.
