Hey!

I downloaded 'Omikron: The Nomad Soul' demo to test the game out before I buy it from e-bay. However I am having problems with it. The game was built for windows 98 and as part of the disclaimer from QuanticDream they state that there may be problems trying to run the game in XP. I though that was just to cover themselves but it appears that it may not be. I can run the game and set up my controls etc through the main menu. I launch the game and it runs fine. The prologue begins and a character begins a conversation. During the conversation I am instructed to press any key to say yes. However I press a key and in the dialogue box 'I accept' appears. However the gameplay itself appears to just pause. The wormhole and what not is still fluctuating, the character breathes. Lastly, although the game pauses everything is still running. I can still open menus etc. Really weird problem.

I hope somebody can help this game looks kick behind!

Note: I am running XP :P

Maybe that's the end of the demo :P

A 200mb file for a 2 minute prologue sequence which you don't actually play?

God that would be *dirty word* stupid.

I'll have to find out :P

Problem Resolved.

I reset my controls to the default settings and it worked. I had also restarted by this point so I am not sure which actually fixed it.

Either way.. it works *dances*

So you got it working? I have XP and Omikron, but the sound wouldn't work when I started it, but after a little tweaking I managed to get it working, let me know if the same thing happens to you, maybe I can help.
