Reader Rabbit games

The original Reader Rabbit is fairly well available in this community, but Reader Rabbit 1 and Reader Rabbit 2? Not so much!:sucks: Well, I've managed to obtain copies of Reader Rabbit 1 and 2 and get them copied from the floppy disks. Now I want to contribute them. Seeing as you have some Learning Company games up already, this shouldn't be a problem!

Reader Rabbit 1 is essentially a VGA remake of the original, which I'm sure you're all familiar with. Reader Rabbit 2... well, this can explain it better than I:

yesss, we want 'eeeemmmm

I'm sending you PM for upload. Also, do note that besides packed games ready to run, we welcome anything else. If you have those floppies, then you can create floppy images with some software for that, and scan the floppies and upload those pictures as well. Also if you played those games, you can make some screenshots (do include shot with game title). If some special is needed to run the game, please explain here.

And thank you for your contributions :)

Okay! I do have box shots, but they're just taken from Moby Games so... I had the seller copy the files onto a CD, so I probably can set up a floppy disk image, but for now I just have the packed ready to run games. I do have the manuals, so I'll provide them too once I get around to scanning them.

I uploaded them, I think...

Confirming that both games are uploaded. Hopefully you'll manage to scan manuals as well.

Could you also describe those games? The year they are published and the full name? I don't get this "Reader Rabbit", "Reader Rabbit 1, "Reader Rabbit 2" way of naming games. I looked here and wasn't sure. Then I looked at Wiki and found those titles. So the ones you offered are the titles from 1989 and 1990?

The one from 89 is the one I mentioned being widely available, the ones I'm offering are both from 1991, and they are rather bluntly named "Reader Rabbit 1" and "Reader Rabbit 2". The former is an enhanced remake of the 1989 game, while the latter is entirely new. Here is the info pages:

Hey guys! So I have been trying to find a way to play Reader Rabbit 2 on my mac for the past two years. I bought a copy of the cd rom from amazon and have been trying to get it to run using DosBox but I am having no luck. I see on this forum that someone has uploaded those games but I do not see them on your website? Can someone help me find a way to play this game? I am desperate!

Surprised they haven't! In the meantime, I also uploaded them to vetusware.com so you can go there...
