I made this forum because I own a PDA (iPaq rx3715 to be exact) and want to share some knowledge about it and especially programs for PDA's. You can discuss every kind of PDA you want, even mobile phones with PDA capabilities, it does not have to be a Pocket PC.
Best thing would be if we could compile a database of free software available for PDA's free software is what abandonia is all about.

uhh... what IS a PDA?
(maybe Panda Defeated by the Americans?)

PDA stands for Personal Digital Assistant. It's a small portable computer, that you can easily hold in a hand.
For further informations, have a look at this site.

So... just a assistant...
(i think that its no assistant as like in Megaman Battle Network!)
That will be cost many $!!!

I think that PDA's are dying. They will be replayed by multi purpose mobile phones, or will it be the other way?

Where exactly is the difference between smartphones and pdas? Or better: What makes a smartphone a smartpone...?

I'm no expect in cell phones, but I think a "smart" phone is any second generation phone. Those who allow you to go on the internet to grab your emails, who have calendar and stuff like that.

You know what a phone is and what it does. Any phone that has functions beyond that can be called a "smart" phone. Mostly though, smart phones are those phones that allow you to manage your scedule write and read your email and browse the internet.

Ah I see. So would you call the N-Gage a smartphone, too?
