Crusader Kings

Avast! In the murky marshes of southern Ireland, following the Battle of Hastings and the Norman conquests in 1066, a fire stirs!

Yessir', after 13 fine years of Conflict, Ireland stands united under one throne of a Gaelic name I forget how to spell. Whats more interesting then the fact it only took 13 years (1066 -1080 ) to unite a country using the worst military imaginable, is the fact that the country is ran by a 6 year old king. No heir, and no other legitimate family members TOO run the country. Yes, the Irish War cost me my entire royal family pretty much, (the kind was assassinated and subsequent heir was too, and now the 6 year old son runs everything )

Yep, this will be a very interesting run at Crusader Kings. As of now im trying to forge alliances with Scotland, Wales, and France, and go to war with England, but Irelands armies are the shitiest in the whole of western Europe. I tell ya, they are numerically undermined by the english, AND they lack morale and what not (TWICE did i have an army of over 1000 desert into the hills!)

However, I did forget to take over the Isle of Man from the Duke of Leinster or some such nonsense, and his pathetic little army of prolly around 200 is just chilling there, so it gives me something to so.

So in the fall of 1081 and army of 700 ish commanded by a member of the court landed and eliminated the 200 strong army with little trouble, and aided by another 600 in reinforcements, the garrison fell, and the island was mine!

And thats all for now. I dont know what direction to take Ireland in next...

Are you saying there's only battles you can do? What about research and economy?

well theres nothing fun about that. Plus i dont really understand the games economic system still

Oh joy, just for fun i went on the hundred years war campaign, and i was doing really great as Ireland ( not only did i have ireland united, i also had 2 provinces in northern england as vassals, AND a province in Northern France )

But now, the Pope called for a Crusade, and for whatever reason im leading it :\

So i rolled over to Antioch with my army and liberated it for a little while, then tens of thousands of Arabs came and destroye dthe meek 1000 man garrison there! WHERE ARE THE ARMIES OF ENGLAND AND FRANCE AND GERMANY? I cant send my armies of Ireland over alone, cause for starters then Ireland would be undefended from the English and Navarre pig-dogs, AND the fact that the entire country is o nthe verge of revolt ( all my counts arn't mobilizing in the north, meaning i was only able to send 3000 scottish mercenaries and 4000 irish soldiers to re capture antioch, which they will most likely fail at.)

Ireland is in a grand state of peril right now.. too much blood was spilt capturing it from the english, now we risk internal destruction!

Also, ive never known if you could, but do you get to choose your heir? Cause i have 3 sons so far (ages 4, 3, and 1) and the second and first sons are most likely to be king worthy as long as they dont die...im thinking of giving the eldest a county when he turns 15 or so. He's also being brought up in the military so i hope to make him my Marshall eventually
