I want to try a experiment with frequencies. I will post a sound file that produces a Sin Tone with a freq at 17000Hz. I want you to post if you hear it or not, and your age. My hypothesis is that older people will not be able to hear the sound. Link to it is:

http://www.ihud.com/file.php?file=files/24...7/frequency.rar

You need WinRAR to extract the file

Forgot to mention, I am 16, and can hear it easily.

18 years old, can only hear it when the volume on my headphones is raised halfway.

18...I could hear it when I barely had my speakers turned on at all...dang that was annoying!

Well... that's statistically prooved... someone discovered that so many years ago...
But I don't want to stop your scientific vein ;)

I hear that sound perfectly and I'm 26.

Arrgh! Now that was annoying! Why didn't you told us the sound is THIS loud?

BTW, I'm 20...

Wait a second....I don't think mine was a fair test, I just remembered that I had the bleeding equalizer in Winamp on! I'll try again when i get back home.

I recognized it, I'm 17...

I'm curious as to whether or not that file is corrupted. He said it would just be a single tone, and instead it's a jumble of static.
