Nice review Rodney, you got potential, in the future you should look to write little shorter reviews especialy in the area of saying the same thing more than once and than we will have another great reviewer on our site. ;)

About the game, I dl it, will try it out soon. Just for it's sweetness. :3:

Works fine for me, Sal :mhh:

I can't think what the problem could be...

[Am I allowed to bump such an old thread?]

I must say i really like this game so far! The Toy Factory struck me as a little creepy, though when ya really think about it. Namely the replicas of the protagonist in it. Especially the broken ones...

Also there's an oversight in level 2, underground. There are two pits you can fall down, both leading to spikes. If you fall down either one you're stuck waiting for time to deplete because the spikes have no hitbox! Also the game keeps giving me incorrect passwords so I have to come here for them. Why does the game do that? Does the game give wrong passwords if it thinks a copy is being played, as some form of protection?

And does the protagonist have a name? The review just calls her 'girlie'. If she doesn't, I'll think of something.

Any of the threads about the games on-site (Which is all of the threads in Games Discussion) can be posted in at any time by anyone. They are here for people to talk about the games on-site for whatever reason they want.

Well that reassures me.

Anyway an element of the game continues to puzzle me. There's an object on the HUD, right of the timer. It looks like a roll of film. It apparently means something, because collecting a field object that resembles it seems to trigger the dialogue "Click, click!".

Also according to Moby Games the protagonist's mane is Lolly.

The roll film is like a mega bomb, when you have it you can press space key to activate it, then all the enemies that you can kill throwing lollypops to them will die after the photo.

Donugee 03-06-2011 07:43 PM

I see. I tend to not use those in games, anyway. Do they work on bosses?

Alexis78 03-06-2011 08:21 PM

Yes, the photo-bomb works with bosses.
I tried it with the first one, that monkey, and after 4 "photos" I did to him, it cost me less time to kill him with only one lollypop as weapon.

And I think that maybe is possible that your hits to the boss are cumulative, so if you die your previous hits are mantained.

Also, I discovered that if you press the Alt key, the game speeds a little up. You can walk a little more quick, but the environment and enemies speed up too (good for waiting the elevator to come).

I set up the game with 7 lives an auto fire on, and I managed to reach Level 3 this afternoon.

There are 2 things that I donīt like, first, you canīt recover hit points, and the second, is that the password records your level and your number of lives, they donīt refill your lives after starting a game from a password.
After all I like this game. :)

Edit:
After defeating the 3š boss, a message appeared to me saying that because I played it with more than 3 lives, I only can reach level 3, so if you want to finish the game you are only allowed to play it with 3 lives option, not with the 7 lives.
So, Rainbow Arts 1 :hihihi: - Player 0 :owned: (maybe they explain it in the manual, I donīt know).

Forgive your passwords too for this reason playing with the 7 lives option, you will never reach level 4.

Edit 2:
Ops! I step on the trapdoor, that trap that says: Man, read the review.
