How do I turn the white-box-option off? And how do I remove it's contents?

This is what I mean:

Hmmm I haven't done that since I shared computer with my folks...
But usually cleaning cookies and history was enough. There's also a program I have, but I don't remember the name and my computer is at the repair-place. But I can let you know when I get it :)

That only usually comes up if you double click on the search bar or you type something you've already typed before. Just clear your history and it'll go away. Then it'll come back, so wipe your history again. Etcetera. It's a good idea to wipe cookies/history and so on fairly often anyways.

In Explorer, go to tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> AutoComplete, uncheck the boxes and see what happens.

no problems :) I sort of hate it myself. I'm constantly reminded of my spelling errors...

Hehehe, but no. I believe that if you really want to mess up your computer, all you have to do is to visit those porn sites, as well as a great share of them dodgy warez sites. I have no interest in finding out exactly what DTS (digitally transmitted disease) you might get.
