the Volgelgrippenvirus (birdfluvirus?) H5N1 goes around the world and even moved into eastern and central Europe ....

I stopped eating poultry now and I hope that they'll get something about it .....


but I am not panicing now .... what about you ?

It was hugely overblown by the media, and there's nothing you can do about it, so why worry?

Bleh, I don't care a bit and surely won't stop eating poultry just because of that.

If it becomes a epidemic the odd thing is. The likely thing is at least on of the top 40 posters on this forum will die.

Anyway if the virus will mutate will be in problems, until then it's just media hype...

It is Sars all over again. Do not worry, your chances of survival aren't exactly jepordized. There are many, many worse micro-organisms running about.

Like Smallpox. Not exactly news, but a resurgence of Smallpox would be WAAAY worse than the Bird Flu

All it would take would be an anti-biotic resistance adaption from a multitude of common pathogens to become a major threat. ...and seeing how people use antibiotic medication these days, that's not difficult to imagine. Outbreaks of resistant influenza viruses could be lethal, even.
