Goodbye Abandonia

I remember when i was in college , more than a decade ago.
I had a weak laptop and could notplay many games.
I found Abandonia (and abandoia reloaded) and many games to play. A lot which escaped me in my younger years.
I kept an eye on the site and saw its updates dwindle as fewer articles get posted.
Today i see the writing on the wall with the casino article.
I know this is a tactic , of the lowest form , to generate revenue by inserting casino links into articles. It's not even subtle here.
To the team behind abandonia , thank you for all the work over the years so that I could see so many games I enjoyed.
To the forums , though i very rarely interacted , have a good one.
Goodbye and thanks for all the fish.

For them mods feel free to delete this post. Just wanted to give a warm goodbye to a site that held a certain place in my heart for many years.

I doubt it's the site and not the hack. I killed the "news", if it worth something.

Well, sorry for my insistence, but I think you could replace the absence of Admins and Updaters... Just my opinion.

Why? Because I believe it would be a matter of time before you had more experience and learning on how AB Forum works... :idea: Eureka! :yahoo: Because it is critical to have at least one active Mod and you have been the most active of them lately...

And while WebSpace God of Hollande is probably Lost in WebSpace :sos:... Or exploring the infinite and vastness of WebSpace Cosmic... :starwars:

Japo is here, and reacted quite soon. I could be "real" admin, of course, if I had the time and willing for this. Unfortunately, I involved in too many personal projects for my own good, not counting "real" work and family. So no, while I can be useful somewhat, I hardly totally suit for this job. :)

PS I came to Abandonia for very similar reasons... I too remember quite a lot from that time, though not everything any longer.
