I've been trying to run the game using DosBox (the game doesnt work in winXP)
and ive managed to get to the opening screen but for some reason the game is in
black and white (no color) and is extremly slow. i tried increasing the emulation speed but it doesnt seem to work. can anyone help me?

Maybe the game is little too slow for DosBox. What are the requirements for the game?
DosBox emulates up to around 486DX2 80MHZ. So if 11th Hour needs a pentium prozessor, you would need a very fast PC to be able to increase the cycles so far that it's enough for the game.
Anything I could propose there as alternative is to play the game in Windows 98SE. But you would need to install this one on second HD or similar, first...

I've managed finally to increase the speed to a reasonable pace and the game is quite fluid, but there is still the problem of the game being in black and white (it should be in full colour).

You have options (or some similar word) in the game. Try increasing color depth there. :ok:

BTW I play 11th hour in Win98SE and it runs smoothly.

There's something like Spooky-vision... that basically puts the game in black/white. Try turning this off.

there's a patch for this game that makes it playable on windows. you can download it here: http://www.adventuretreff.de/specials/dl_patches.php
