I wonder what the winner will be

Voted Win98 (SE), although it's a pain in the behind with Plug'n Play... and various other things, but at least it's not so bloated that it uses half your resources to put a sniffing dog when you want to search for a file on your disk, or uses resources for sliding buttons to the left on the Start-bar when you close something.

Yes i much agree Windows 98 has it's problems but at least it don't waste all your ram and processing power or rubbish things like XP does
|
I'm using WinXP professional (SP1, of course!).
Even if it waste too much processing-power for useless things, seems to be the more stable Windows-something OS, in my experience! |
I use WinXP most, but I also use Win98 for old games.

what should I vote...
at home; 1 windows XP machine 1 Redhat AS3 linux machine at work; 1 windows XP notebook 1 debian sarge linux machine ... it's a tie or should i also count the servers ;) 4 windows 2003 enterprise / windows 2000 advanced servers (x86) 13 Redhat Linux 2.1/3 AS servers (x86) 4 IBM AIX servers (RISC/6000) 3 SUN solaris servers (SPARC) 1 cobalt RAQ3 (MiPS) |
Gentoo Linux.
When I'm not playing games that is. My gaming OS is WinXP Pro. |

2 win xp's, sadly.

* Windows XP (Primary OS due to heavy CAD and 3dMAX work)
* Ubuntu Linux (Secondary OS - for leisure and hobby) * DSL (Damn Small Linux) (Laptop, because it's lean and small) |
