Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7) BETA 2 Preview is now available for download from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/...aredirect.mspx

The new IE 7 looks very nice and is meant to be a lot more secure than previous versions, it features tabbed browsing,
cool looking UI, Pop-up blocker, Phishing filter, it also integrates nicely with RSS.

IE 7 BETA 2 Preview is available for Windows XP.

yes it does look a bit like firefox, but it has some other nice features

These tabs are totally plagiarized from Firefox.

...Or Opera, or one of the hundreds of IE shells which have implemented tabs in IE 5 and 6. Firefox ripped the idea off from Opera, Opera ripped it off from the IE shell NetCaptor, NetCaptor ripped it off from InternetWorks, and InternetWorks probably ripped it off from the tab widget available in various windowing toolkits.

It gets really irritating hearing fan-boys who moan about how so-and-so ripped off feature xyz from their favorite company. Nearly all real innovations are put out in a proof-of-concept form which is utterly useless to joe-sixpack and latter "ripped off" by companies who deliver usable products.

Anyhoo, tabs are really useful, whoever invented them.

I think I'll stick with Firefox, IE has such a bad name, I don't want to be laughed at.

I'll stick with Mozilla 1.7

There's a saying, when something works good, don't change it...
So unless you list me some ubercool feature that FF doesn't have I'll stick to it...

chickenman 04-02-2006 10:00 PM

Well it's not crashed once yet, and I'm going to see how secure it is.
