[Megaten] Dschump! / Jump!
Hey Guys,
I visit abandonia now for years and were so happy, when I saw this sub-Forum. :D There are 2 games, which I played in my childhood but were never able to find again. I already asked in serveral Forums and searched it for hours in google. So here is the first one: The game ran on DOS on the PC of my father. I played it somewhen in the 90s. You had a birdview and were controlling a blue ball, which constantly jumped. You had a start-point and had to reach the goal. The plattform tha ball was jumping on, was a kind of a wooden way and underneath was water. The game scrolled from top down. On the wooden way there were several action-plattforms. Like wormholes and direction changer and so on. The sound was 8 or 16 bit i guess, but I don't remeber it clearly. You can't save the game, but you got passwords to jump direct to a specific level. Maybe it helps, maybe it confuses ;) : I thought its had something with "Dolphin" in its name or maybe the company which programmed it was called something with "Dolphin". But actually it didn't helped me, when I already tried to search it. It would be so cool, if anybody is able to help me! :D Thank you, Zoid |
Not sure if this is what you mean, but the game you described sounds a little like Bounce! on C64...so maybe also on DOS?
https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/i...kbQSkMbECmNJ_g Damn, actually now that I reread your post, it's definitely not that game. But does the top-down view look like the picture above? |
Seems also interesting, but sadly it isn't the one I searched for.
The one I search was more colourful and you really had an birdsview. So not from half-behind or something. ...maybe I can draw an example in paint later. ;D |

http://dosbox.svatopluk.com/D/Dschump!/ Seems right, aye? It's on Mobygames as "Jump!"...guess it could use more details. Bit of an odd name, but it's nice to see something out of Africa. |
Awesome!!!
Thank you Megaten! That's it. The only thing, which struggles me. That I remeber the "map" looked a bit different. (Like I wrote with the wooden planks and the water below.) Do you by chance, if there is a newer version or an update. Maybe just a new "skin"? But thank you for finding it! |
