Help running Lemmings games

Hey

I searched high and low for the lemmings games, and I must have downloaded gazillions of items before I found the right one. Anyway I've got these problems:(

Lemmings (Original)
From Abandonia
Problem: No Music, Slow

Oh No More Lemmings
From DosGamesOnline
Problem: No Music

Lemmings Xmas Package
From Abandonia
Problem No Music

Lemmings 2 Tribes
From ???
Problem: Keyboard controls only
(it is a Sega port, all the Windows ports I could find were either demos or not working)

All New World of Lemmings
From: Dosgamesonline
File Format: A01,A02,Ao3,Ao4,AO5,ARJ (What program do I need to run them?

Thanks for the help

the "slow" part you can fix it with the cycles of dosbox.
About the music i don't know.
but the best remake of lemmings is winlem, it runs directly on windows xp and has all the classic lemmings, easy to run and to play. on that same page you will find everything about lemmings and more games related to lemmings.

Dammit kid, read the stickies in Troubleshooting.
You need DOSBox to run DOS games properly in Windows. Otherwise you get (surprise, surprise) no sound, extremely slow gameplay and quite possibly crashes.

ARJ is an archive format, similar to ZIP.
A01 through A05 are parts of a multi-volume archive (pretty popular back when floppy disks were the primary means of transferring files between PCs).
So, you don't run it... you unpack it first. Like, with WinRAR.

You can't run games out of an archive, you need to unpack them first.

By the way,
there is a new remake of lemmings at reloaded it is 11mb (quite big for lemmings) but it praises to run smoothly and easy on windows xp and plus they have all the graphics enhanced you can try it.
I have another version of lemming that is only 552kb made by Wildfire software design and it works nice if you want it, here it is. it is also a remake of lemmings and oh no more lemmings.
Attachment 107
just decompress the .rar file and install the winlems setup file. directly on windows xp.

(to the admins: this lemmings version is completely freeware and i downloaded it from lemmings universe, it is available also at many other sites. this is my first time uploading an attachement and i hope it is completely legal what i am doing as i read the forum rules and it seems so, if not please correct this post and accept my apologies.)

Remakes are fine, but I think the creators would more appreciate linking to their official page instead of just putting up the archive. :)
