Well, I live in a small, intolerant, under-developed country where there is very litlle future for my professional class...sometimes if feel like exploding, or running off to Sweden, something like that.

Is this considered ''whining''?

omg 16-07-2005 12:25 PM

naa not really. sounds like a genuine problem. where you living? chechnya or bosgrovia or something like that? it sucks that your class is underapreciated in your country. get out if possible.

now those damn aliens have taken my aftershave, my soap, and my razor!! confound them to hell! and they keep hogging my dvd player to watch spiderman again and again, the horror! the horror!
thank god for funny pictures ...

No. Fortunately, the situation in Portugal is fairly better. [edit]
Suddenly, Sweden looks like paradise...I wonder why. :wall:

omg 16-07-2005 04:06 PM

i think archaeologist's have it hard in any country really. its not an area that goverments invest loads in and due to the laws regarding the sale of artifacts its not something that private companys tend to invest heavily in. is it really that bad for christians in portugal? christians get called fanatics the whole world over as far as im aware. i think the problem in college and work circles is when they try to convert people. certainly in my experiance in workplaces anyone on a conversion mission gets short shrift from people, no matter what religion they belong to , christian, mormon, jew , muslim, whatever. certainly i have come across circles of freinds where religion is a taboo subject, but then some groups of people refuse to allow discussions on politics. i think that when it comes to your religion as long as you dont force it down peoples throats they will leave you alone. its when people start handing out leaflets and telling people that they will go to hell if they dont repent ect then they are gonna muller you socially. hopefully you will be lucky and get a job in your chosen feild. it will be harder for you than someone with a bricklaying qualification, or computing qualifications because of the nature of your feild there will be more people with qualifications in the feild than there are people employed in it. i think you will have to put up with b's wages for a long time, but if you are lucky you will make it through that. good luck. :ok:

amongst all of this thank god for funny pictures ....

I wish that was true! I never tried to impose my personal views. This is about having to hide what you truly think, and listen to others insult your system of belief, often with very little knowledge on the matter. You know, Democracy only arrived here 30 years ago...that must be the reason *sigh*
I know I'm getting off topic here, so I will discuss this no further. But thanks for caring, anyway. Peace to you :bye:

Sorry man. My guinea pig died last week (I actually started taping her because she was acting strange and somewhat funny, when I realised something was wrong). She died in my arms.

The Fifth Horseman 22-07-2005 02:47 PM

A week ago we had to keep him in the basement, since he was attacking his sister and her five kittens (as well as the other five to whom he was a father). My presumption is that he has climbed on one of the cupboards there and fell to the floor.

Three days ago we noticed that he had trouble with walking, so we let him into the house (normally it was off-limit to him because of his "adventurous" nature). He also refused to eat at that time.
A day later, he began mewling loudly and I noticed he had trouble breathing, which have grown heavily yesterday. A day before today, he was almost constantly mewling out in pain, even despite he was given some pain-killers (in dose similar to what you'd give to an infant of a similar weight). He kept mewling for most of the night.

In the morning I found him in the hall, dead, a trickle of blood running from his mouth.

He has probably fractured a rib and a bone splinter punctured his lung. According to my mother's friend who is a doctor, there was no chance of saving him anyway. But I still feel like if I could have done something.

I had him since he himself was a little kitten, back then he was so small he could sit on my outstretched hand. And now he's dead.

Probably the worst thing that ever happened to me.

Playbahnosh 22-07-2005 05:27 PM

LIFE SUX!!!!!! ARRRRGGHHH!!!

WARNING! EXPLICIT CONTENT! Reading this may cause depression!

My computer is dying. No, really, I'm serious. Something bad happened that I can't identify.

First, my video card started to malfunction. Horizontal lines, distroted screen and everything. I could not do anything about it. Updated the driver, directx, reinstalled the OS, scanned with NAV, tryed every troubleshooting advice I could get. No nothing....
Then suddenly the card started working again with no apparent reason(not that I wasn't happy about it).
For a few days, everything seemed to be in order again...

THEN IT STARTED!!!

One morning I turned on my comp. Started booting, "Detecting IDE drives..." OK, stat screen OK, then when it reached "Verifying DMI Pool data..." (right when the OS starts to load) it freezed. Reseted, then again it happened, but now with colorful letters all over the screen.
Okay, I re-installed WinXP AGAIN (Damit). During the "Checking Hard Dirves" phaze, the indicator freezed at 75% for 2 hours. I fed up and restarted, formatted drive C, then started again. It worked.
But when I first got in to the desktop, I discovered that the WinXP got installed in E: partition. My C: drive was another partition.
This is just the peak of the iceberg.
SOMEHOW almost 3/4 of my files got corrupted! (DAMN) No classification. Programs, RAR, ZIP, pictures, CD images, everything!!! If I try to launch a program it displays an error "The program doesn't fit in the memory" or something else. The archives say "The file is corrupted" and the CD images corrupted too. The images simply don't display. MOREOVER, my DOCUMENTS got corrupted. I opened my novell then I saw 1244 pages of nonsense($˘^ü5~RI‚ˇand like that).

AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

Now that's a sad story. Sorry Play - I guess you no play computer games for a while now (or do serious things). I hope you backed up all the importaint files you had!

Your HD is broken. Probably the video card is about to stop, also. I had these horizontal lines with my old card, too. It stopped, then came later again. Permanently this time. All you need is to replace these two. ;)

Sebatianos 22-07-2005 07:19 PM

A question - can you tell a frog from a horse - or do they both look alike?

Playbahnosh 22-07-2005 08:17 PM

@Seb
Thx for the pic, but it's not so funny now
My personal and self-made stuff is in great danger. I have no back ups of them anywhere(I have no CD burner to back up with).

@rofl
Replace them? Yeah right <_< If I had that much money I'd be sure to do that, but unfortunatly I DON'T. I spent all my spare money to buy this HD. All my 3 year spared money. :(

omg 22-07-2005 08:26 PM

play this is very bad news dude. post it in tech help hopefully someone here will know some good hd recovery software.

Playbahnosh 22-07-2005 08:39 PM

I posted it already. I tryed GetDataBack for NTFS but no luck. Only recovered the defected files.... :(

Shrek 22-07-2005 08:59 PM

i 'think you might need a diagram of how a computer works, so i' ll just post one here

My morale will be lifted if my data is recovered and safe :( But thanks anyway :) MY computer looks just like this now :)

Anybody with a useful idea? OR at least a page or something to seek help, becouse I don't seem to find one...

Sebatianos 22-07-2005 10:24 PM

Do you have a friend with a large enough HD to transfer your stuff to his computer? You only need a cable (it can be a simple USB bridge cable), or maybe a USB portable burner... You can just PM me about it (we were talking about meating anyway...).

BTW - don't do your crap here!!!

Spoonman 23-07-2005 09:20 AM

As much as it sucks to lose your data\computer, the cat story made me feel al lot more sad :(

Guess my no-network-problem with my cellphone while I really need to contact someone is not as impressive now

Playbahnosh 23-07-2005 10:34 AM

I like cats, and I'm sorry for the loss, really. :(
But now I have my own problems which are far more important to me at least now. MY HD is loosing data continuosly and I need some fast help now... :(

Iron_Scarecrow 23-07-2005 10:48 AM

Oh I hate hearing sad cat stories. Speaking of them though I have one.

My brother was walking home from school one day and found a kitten abondoned on the side of the road and it was covered in fleas and it couldn't even open its eyes. So he brought it home we took it to the vet. About 2 weeks later it was practically fully recovered and one of my brother's friends was visiting and he took a step backwards right on top of the cats head, we rushed it to vet but they had to put it down, we still have it buried in our backyard, it had a gravestone but it fell down. This was about 8 or 9 years ago now. The friend felt so bad he never came back to our house, even though it was just an accident.

Spoonman 23-07-2005 10:27 PM

Aw man I could never forgive myself if I ever stepped on a cat, even by accident. That's just.. well, really crappy and traumatic.

Having a new cat\kitten is cool though :) And my cellphone is working again as well.

Doc Adrian 23-07-2005 11:19 PM

heres a cat story that starts sad and has happy ending, hopefully to bring a little Christmas cheer here (at the end of July)

It was Christmas eve and my sister went to my dad's (closed for holiday) gas station to get more soda for the party, and she took my (at the time toddler) niece Maggie there with her. About 10 minutes later I get a phone call from Maggie who learned how to call my house when she needs help, and she says Unca Day, Katties.
She tried to get her mom to follow her but my sister wasn't understanding her baby talk, and was busy loading boxes.
Maggie said "Come hare Unca Day" until I agreed to drive out there and see what was going on. I drove over to my dad's store bundled up for a snowstorm and Iwhen I got there, my niece takes me by the hand and leads me to the side of the building and just stops by a gas station testing well shed. At first I thought I heard the wind whistling but then I heard mewing. In a pile of boxes behind the shed we found a garbage bag and though I normally don't rip open bags in the garbage lot we opened the bag and found 5 half dead kittens.
Some bastard threw them in a garbage bag and left them to suffocate or freeze on my dad's property. So we took home the 5 kittens and nursed them back to health with a little help from the county animal shelter. I love cats but my whole family is allergic to them so we lived off Benedryl for a while.
The kittens made a full recovery and were adopted by a lady with a big farm who loves cats. One of the cats are named Maggie and one is named after me.
So I am glad for Christmas that year my niece has a good set of ears and wandered around when she wasn't supposed to, and found those kittens.

Sean 23-07-2005 11:27 PM

What a lovely story :)

Frodo 23-07-2005 11:56 PM

Doc, that's a lovely story :D

It was clever of your niece to call for help for the kittens, and I'm so glad they survived. :Brain:

omg 24-07-2005 12:09 AM

amongst all these storys of kitty tragedy its good to hear a story of kittys being saved. kittytastic!

Sebatianos 24-07-2005 01:50 AM

Playbahnosh 24-07-2005 07:48 PM

I like cats, and that story was cool! A kitty saved :ok:

Speaking of that, this boosted my morale :)

Sebatianos 24-07-2005 08:05 PM

Right now I need little support and boosting my morale. I think I'm too fat.

Shrek 25-07-2005 10:19 AM

I did, all the Dracula movies are fascist, Eastern Europeans are portrayed as creepy people with sharp teeth and a tendency to drink blood instead of wine, but actually once you get to know them well you'll see that they are actually creepy people with sharp teeth and a tendency to drink wine instead of blood!

I was working in a PC service for two weeks and now they tell me, no pay. I lost my favorite book and my only copy of StarCraft CD broke just yesterday.

My piece of crap video card keeps getting some frigging interference form some dubious device in my system :( It seriously f*cks my screen all getting wobbly and stuff... I sent it back thinking it was busted, received a new one, same sh*t all over again... And none of the outlets in my study are properly grounded, so if that is what's causing this issue, I'm feeling pretty cr@ppy about that!

well for people that lose there cds for pc games or what not go here game copy world ITS LEGAL

The site seems legal enough, but I have my doubts. Who can guarantee me that somebody else wouldn't be passing my stuff any further? I know if I'd be running something like that it would be very hard to resist the temptation of looking into other people's stuff (and if there'd be something really great that I wanted - I might download it - but it would really have to be rare and excelent).

Anyway, if you really had a shitty day, just imagine how this guy felt:

LOL LOL LOL

Sebatianos 01-08-2005 07:33 PM

Now just imagine you'd have to drive through this!!!

Spoonman 01-08-2005 07:37 PM

 I'm sure no accident has ever happened there..

Rogue 01-08-2005 07:43 PM

They are driving on the wrong side of the road... so GB or some of ex-colonies. :)

And I second that accidents never happened there! LOL

Sebatianos, is 1st April 06 still the date?

Here is suggestion for wedding cake top:

Sebatianos 01-08-2005 07:51 PM

Yup. Still our date - but I won't be that drunk. So Rainwife won't have to carry me away (I'm sure that's what the cake suggest, because otherwise I've no idea what it could mean :bleh: ).
But this is more like it:

Rogue 01-08-2005 07:55 PM

Just hope you'll not end up like this ;)

Actually, we drive on the wrong side of the road, before Napoleon, the entire european continent drove on the left side of the road. For some reason (I'm not sure which) Napoleon made the switch..

Rogue 01-08-2005 08:21 PM

Great, easy to make weather station:

http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_jun2004/WeatherRock.jpg

As for side of the roads. At the time that was hardly the issue, as most of the streets were narrowed. ;)

Sebatianos 01-08-2005 08:30 PM

Yup. Really narrow. This would almost be an interstate highway back in those days...

Rogue 01-08-2005 08:52 PM

Yes it is important to...

Shrek 01-08-2005 10:17 PM

Sebatianos 04-08-2005 03:14 PM

Now this is depresing. Ever thought being a male cheerleader (being surrounded by all the female cheerleaders) was fun? Think again!

Stroggy 04-08-2005 03:27 PM

Poor girl.

blastradius14 04-08-2005 10:35 PM

Holy cow, sucks to be him.

Ever staple your finger with a staple gun? Especially because your cat destracted you by grabbing your kneecap with its claws? At least it didn't have nails in it...

OUCH! That sounds extremely painful. :tai:

blastradius14 04-08-2005 10:43 PM

Staples are easier to remove than high-brad nails.

And yes, Frodo it hurt like *meeping* mad!

Danny252 05-08-2005 08:53 AM

well, it was me and 3 other people in the classroom as we'd finished the work the class was doing elsewhere and gone back. One guy was playing around with the stapl.er then he for some reason said 'YES!' and stapled his finger. He then somehow got it out. at this point the teacher came in...

Spoonman 05-08-2005 01:59 PM

What a odd habit, stapling your fingers. I just mutilate mine with the cheese shaver once in a while.

Danny252 05-08-2005 02:00 PM

I usually hammer mine, actually.

Toxik 05-08-2005 02:06 PM

i too stapel my finger(its popular)but not actually with a stapler but with that stuff u put in there(dont know its name)i was playing with it and somehow it went through my finger and even my nail
its still a mystery for me how i did it..

Indignus IV 05-08-2005 02:28 PM

I did that staple thing once. It actually doesnt hurt at all. The shock outweighs the pain.

@Seb: that pic is from Dodgeball. That was a great movie! :ok:

blastradius14 05-08-2005 04:33 PM

It's gotta be a staple gun to hurt. That way the pressure makes the staple REALLY hard to remove from your finger.

A stapler couldn't kill a pansy, unless you bashed it with it.

Spoonman 05-08-2005 04:40 PM

I've got the opposite thing with papercuts. Even the smallest one hurts (or at least irritates) in a very nasty way.

But what's with the staples, some of you actually do that on purpose? If so, please tell me what kick that brings 'cause I don't really understand

blastradius14 05-08-2005 05:06 PM

Wanna know the most evil cutting material in the world is? Lightbulb glass. It's so thin that it will slice you good! I do not take pleasure from pain, nor the sight of blood, so the masochistical society does not include me LOL

Shrek 05-08-2005 10:34 PM

looks like Sebastianos is "out" for a couple days.... then, let' s keep this "warm" for his return.

by the way, if you ever go to Greece, drive throw a highway and don' t have any money to pay at the toll gate, remember, there are always other ways to pay a bill

blastradius14 05-08-2005 10:53 PM

Whoa... that's freaky there, shrek. Always avoid skin contact when dealing with water pressurizers (power washers). It can peel you like a cheese grater. Well, if you are within 7 cm or so.

Shrek 05-08-2005 10:59 PM

blastradius14 06-08-2005 04:52 AM

Fish, you should find one that looks like a pelican. Then you really wouldn't want to fly :D

Shrek, is that an unedited picture? Or did you change the sign, physically before the shot, or with a program? Or does the sign actually lead you there?

A. J. Raffles 06-08-2005 06:34 AM

That's not a pelican, that's a goose. It's Nils Holgerson airlines, after all.:D

Lonely Vazdru 06-08-2005 07:54 AM

Hey Shrek picture was in France. Pussy doesn't mean anything in french. What is funny is the Meat=Murder tagged on one of the poasts. :D

Spoonman 06-08-2005 08:02 AM

(not really.)

Lonely Vazdru 06-08-2005 08:04 AM

You mean it's not really funny because you agree, or because you crave meat ?

A. J. Raffles 06-08-2005 08:07 AM

I'd say it's not really funny because it's just a slogan used by vegetarians. I mean, "don't drink and drive" isn't all that funny either, is it?

Lonely Vazdru 06-08-2005 08:09 AM

Don't you think it's just a wee bit excessive ? I mean meat = Murder ? And to feel the urge to tag that crap on a stupid post. Some people will never cease to amaze me. And i'd rather laugh than cry. LOL

Yup, you caught my drift

I think it's one of those 70s style taglines in which everything is pointed out exaggerated to make meat-eaters feel more guilty. Thank goodness it's not that much of a hype anymore nowadays. It's crap (to stay ontopic :P)

That's nothing, here in Belgium there are two towns called Kontich and Reet, Kontich would be translated into "like an behind" and Reet means Crack (and not the kind of crack found on teacups either)

I think the joke behind it is the sign it is written on. My French isn't perfect but from what I gathered the word for murder and the town name would sound the same in french.

Or it could be a vegetarian just lives in the area who thought that it would be fun to chalk his slogan down on a random sign. :)

naa not really. sounds like a genuine problem. where you living? chechnya or bosgrovia or something like that? it sucks that your class is underapreciated in your country. get out if possible.

No. Fortunately, the situation in Portugal is fairly better. But Christians are often labeled as ''fascists'', ''retards'', ''fanatics'' and stuff like that...in some college circles, it's forbidden to even mention that particular subject...but if you're Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist or whatever, it's all very well. Talk about being unfair!
As for the professional problem, I am soon to become an archaeologist, but our government invests so little in that particular area that many (or most) of us are condemned to unemployment or working slave hours in underpaid jobs...and to complete the scenario, tuition in my college has become 880 Euros per year...the average Portuguese salary is 600-700 Euros (!)
Suddenly, Sweden looks like paradise...I wonder why. :wall: [/b][/quote]
I live in sweden.. doesn't really feel like a paradise if you have lived here for your whole live... well as it looks for you i can understand it..

Well it's just about time to get this thread back from the death... Lets see if we can post some more crap :D

Like this kitty greeting a friend:

Sebatianos 11-04-2006 02:53 PM

I think this is a pencil sharpener - or just a joke, not sure really...

Rogue 11-04-2006 03:33 PM

It looks cool. :)

Playbahnosh 11-04-2006 05:03 PM

Okay, I got crap:

I lost three important people in my life in the last three months. I broke up with my gf who almost instantly came together with my best friend, and then my new wannabe girlfriend turned me down after she had her fun with me....

I feel useless...

That is harsh, although you may be right. Anyway, let's leave these things at the door.

Playbahnosh 11-04-2006 05:59 PM

The gf and the wannabe gf was the two I was talking about in my infamous thread earlier. My ex(oh I hate that term:( ) coming together with my best friend, who was my best friend ever since ground school, is a recent event.

And yes people, AGAIN! muck happens to me all the time

Blood-Pigggy 11-04-2006 10:15 PM

I read a book once and its title was "Fortuna's smile". (The goddess Fortuna for havin luck and stuff).

It says there that Fortuna sometimes turnes her Wheel of Fortune when she's in the mood to. It lifts people on the one side and people fall off or sturggle to stay hangin on the other.

She just turned your Wheel. ^_^
Cheer up! The next turn comes and it'll lift you up!
Though I know it's hard to deal with the girls...
But I'm not going to tell my personal story here, since I've already been talking a lot! :D

No, we may disagree on various philosophical points, but as a fellow dosgamer, I only wish Playbahnosh the best. I just have no useful advice for his situation.

Grinder 13-04-2006 10:30 AM

Really awful things stopped happening to me when I was about 8. After that, there was nothing major. But I'm not gonna tell you the story...

Playbahnosh 17-04-2006 10:41 PM

(oh no you don't! I won't let this topic sink away so easily :D)

Well really awful stuff started to happen to me ca. 2 years ago. But I really hope this is just a temporary period...

Danny252 17-04-2006 10:54 PM

To be honest, since September, things have been going exceedingly well for me. And its still getting better, methinks.

Don Andy 18-04-2006 12:38 AM

Bleh, If I were to write down what has gone wrong in my life I could easily fill a huge load of books and I'm still 18.

Just learn to live with it people or do something against it but complaining about it will not help a bit.

I've tried all three options, now I'm stuck with the first.

I've accepted my life was never going too well. But there are always people who suffer much more than yourself. Just accept what you have and be happy with it, even if it is not much.

Nah-ah!
You're not gonna get away with this.
This is the crap topic and you could give a slight view of what crap has happened to you.
Exactly being 18 and complaining a lot is a very, very common combination that works mostly together with a load of self-pityness and some other things that'd make you flame me cause you'd think I wanted to diss you.

Could you give a tiny bit more? Or don't you wanna?

rlbell 18-04-2006 03:29 PM

This topic reminds me of my favorite quote from Bab5:

Ivanova: Why can't life be fair!

Marcus: I take quiet comfort from the fact that life isn't fair, because it means that I do not deserve the terrible things that have happened to me.

Horrible elements from my life:

I had to wait until my mid twenties for any woman to consider me as a potential partner in a relationship. I still have doubts about love at first sight, but it happened to me anyways, and none of the women saw me as more than a friend. At the time I felt absolutely miserable. I am still uncertain how I broke that long streak, but my wife tells me I should be glad that I had no previous entanglements, and I choose to take her at her word, not that she would know as I am the only person she ever took a romantic interest in.

I have the wrong experience for my education. I lack the experience for the engineering field and few organizations hire forklift drivers with a university education. Fortunately, I get enough work to pay my bills, and my education might be in demand for the teaching field; although, that requires going back to university, again.

In case I have not borrowed enough trouble, I am fleshing out a storyline that is bouncing through the back of my head, so I can add failed science fiction author to my list of non-accomplishments. This may be harder than I thought, at first, as one of my friends keeps asking for the next section, so she can find out what happens next. She won't accept laziness as an excuse, so I strive onwards.

Despite the crap that I feel that I am wading through as I slog through life, and despite bouts of melancholy, I can still see the myriad things that tell me my life is worth living, so I am happier than I have any right to be.

I'd really rather not. These really are things I don't like to talk about. And I like to keep my real life apart from the internet as good as possible. I'd be a really unpleasant fellow if I'd combine these two.

What mainly bothers me isn't the fact that people are whining about their miseries but that everyone seems to think that his case is the worst that could happen.

Oh, and I don't want to flame anyone here, I wasn't even talking to you in particular. I was just complaining and throwing around with some of my "crap". ;)

Sebatianos 18-04-2006 05:34 PM

That's been changed around last fall. 3XBlah is a place where people were talking about all sorts of things and I guess (this is only my personal opinion) that someone thought they were just doing it to raise their post counts. So in order not to prevent talking, but also not to encourage the spaming-for-the-sake-of-posts the posts in 3XBlah (and in Games) don't count.

Back on topic:

Okay, your milage may vary, and I certainly cannot attest to the reliabilty of this method-- I tried it exactly once, but it did work for me (it is now fourteen years and four children into our "And they lived happily ever after.").

If you are in a social situation where talking to a stranger is not unusual (in my case it was the office of the computer science club, and we always welcomed potential new members), and you see a new face that you find pleasant, introduce yourself and start a conversation. If you find yourself warming to the person, ask her out. The worst she will do is say no.

The purpose of dating is to find out if you love the other person, and want to form a commitment.

Do not try to steal someone else's girlfriend, as any girl you can steal is unlikely to be worth keeping, or unlikely to be kept.

Playbahnosh 20-04-2006 09:10 AM

Gee rlbell, you might say good things every once in a while :ok:

Now that's a statement!
Really, really true... :ok:

This is sort of an "eye-opener" for many people.
If you steal someone else's partner it is mostly for "bed-reasons"...

Great stuff man! :kosta:

Grinder 20-04-2006 12:58 PM

Hear that, Playbahnosh? Don't think you did anything wrong. Like somebody else once said, that girl of yours seemed to have serious commitment issues. It's not your fault, Dude. :ok: . Just get over it. You'll be fine.

rlbell 22-04-2006 04:25 AM

New crap in my life:

A very dear friend (even if we do not talk as much as we used to) has gone and done something mind-bogglingly unwise, and even though it does not affect me personally, it still causes me no small amount of pain.

For reasons that I cannot fathom, she decided to "expand" her marriage to include a second man, as the "only" alternative would be to sneak behind her husband's back to have an affair with this second man, whom she also loves. Her husband and father of her two children, unless he goes for threesomes, gains nothing, and the only thing in it for him is that she does not leave, as he would be obligated to provide her with support, as her husband, if she did. The husband's situation is not one that I would wish on my worst enemy.

I can understand the problems of maintaining the promise to "exclude all others". They are called "Married, not dead" moments, when you meet highly desirable people after you have already found a special someone to spend your life with. My wife's youngest sister, if she chooses to employ proper posture, is well into the 'must beat them off with sticks' category of beauty. It would be simpler if I did not notice her figure, but I am married, not dead.

I am wrestling with how to explain to my friend what I think she has done wrong, because I really love her too much to stay silent (even if I now thank my lucky stars that I was never her boyfriend). I suppose I feel guilty, because there was a time when she would have asked my advice, so there is a nagging thought that I might have been able to prevent the situation from ever happening, but we each married other people and lived in different cities.

**sigh**

While there is life, there is hope

Grinder 22-04-2006 08:15 AM

What a character...who the heck would do something like that?
You gotta tell her...there's no way she can treat her husband like that.
