I downloaded the game Albion and anytime that I try to start the game the screen flickers and is like I never started the game

Here is the Error log:

I tried configuring the sound in the setup executable but when I select "Configure Sound Hardware" the screen flickers and comes back to the menu

Please explain and help me out
I want to play this game

Did you do that in DosBox or in straight Windows (and WHAT Windows) or with VDMSound?

run "setub.exe" and set your music card (try 'ad lib synthesiser or 100% compatible')

but yeah.. you should use dosbox or vdmsound if you r on windows XP
