Mortuum

Hey guys!
I'm in a never-ending search for a game that marked my -and my brother's- youth, i hope somebody knows this game i'll try describe it:

(as far as i can remember):
*The name is something like "mortum" or "mortem"
*You're a skull with a *weapon, like this picture i drawn:
http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/944/game.gif
*It's a "top-view" game
*You get through the levels, you upgrade your weapon (sword, mace, axe...)

well, i hope it can ring a bell for someone!
thanks for your attention!

(i don't know if here is the place to post this, but i'll give a try)

raaraaraa helps when you refer to your "youth" to know if that was 50 years ago or, as in this case, 10-15.
