Univited doesn't like Windows 7?

I couldn't get it to run under Windows 7 64-bit, even in compatibility mode.

However, it does seem to run fine under wine on my Linux box.
(No sound atm, but I think I can fix that).

What a weird idea to try to run this ol'game directly in a 64 bit OS ......

Some of your possibilities:

This version is the best of all the released versions. Better than the Amiga/ST, even better sound than the Apple IIGS version.
There are also some interesting text from the developers inside the files if you view them in a hex editor. Strings like "The English-Sheep-Shaggers signed London 1/2/1993". etc

Uninvited doesn't work in Windows 7

I have the same problem as hiraghm. The game ain't work with Windows 7 (64-bit) even in compatibility mode. And dosraiders pictures have vanished.

I tried to look the game around the internet but I faced the same problem again and again.

So, does anyone know is it possible to make it work in W7 or is it possible to download W7 compatible version from another site?

Your possibilities:
Simplest solution:
Dosbox 0.74 +W3

Or:
VPC + W3
VPC + W95
VPC + W98SE
VPC + ....... whatever runs the win ver of the game.

All you need for dosbox 0.74+ W3 :
Windows 3.11 for DOSBox, ready-to-run
Be sure toread the instructions, and follow them, you don't want to put the stuff in your Windows 7 system files (yeah yeah, it happened before .... *sigh*)

For some help with VPC read the tutorials:
http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/forumdisplay.php?f=90
Avoid VPC+XPmode, isn't really suited for gaming.
Best is VPC2007+ ....
