I liked no.2 the best.

This site should have a skin chooser. imho
With the choices something like Classic, minimal, ect. and save the settings in a cookie.

I really like the abandonia logo in red_avatars design. It's very retro. :)

And I like the nerds. They are cute. :giggles:

Wow it's such a terrible idea to open a new design to a debate, especially an incomplete one. Years of experience in interactive design taught me so. Just trust a designer, brief him and let him do it. You can't design something collectively with unqualified people commenting during the process. It'll be amateurish and no one will be happy anyway.

Agree! ;) I'm a designer myself and the most horrible thing are clients, who think that is not a proper job at all. ("Isn't it just clicking around in Photoshop or so?") The other most horrible thing is, that nearly EVERYBODY has the opinion that he/her knows what good design is. It's a battle every single day!

I voted for the second option because I thought that version of Red Avatar's Abandonia re-design not only looked better, but it also gave Abandonia much tighter visual integration with Abandonia's sister site, Abandonia Reloaded.
