Since there's been some new interest on AB in playing online games of Diablo, here's an organizer we can use to set up meeting times:

For anyone who wishes to join:

1. Make sure your copy of Diablo is updated to 1.09 before going online. Go here for a copy of the patch.
2. If you get a "cannot connect to BattleNet" message, this means you almost certainly have an outdated server list and need to update it. Here's how.
3. Do not use No-CD cracks or modified executables. The update check won't recognize them, and BN will refuse to let your game online (not permamently - replacing the cracked exe with the original one will fix the problem).

Is this just gonna be for D1? I've only got D2, so would be more interested in that...

Diablo 1 is a million times better then 2.

@Panthro: if you want to organize something with Diablo II, just open another thread into this section and wait for players, I'm sure many will answer to the call :)

True, but my issue is more that I don't have a copy of D1, and I'm not sure where I could pick up a copy from. Will have to check Amazon or something. Would prefer to tag along occasionally rather than doing any organisation myself. Lazy that way, really!

Also, is this vanilla D1, not whatever that expansion was called?

Hellfire doesn't support Battle.net to begin with.
We could play it over Hamachi (if there's interest), as there's a hidden option to enable LAN games. (would be great, given the new classes in HF)

Unless you want to use a mod, that's damn impossible.
