I have a celebration day! Today my father bought me dices, which I asked him to look for 3 days ago.
1d4, 1d6, 1d8, 2d10, 1d12 and 1d20. One d10 die already marked for tenths. Brilliant!!! :brain:

Now I'm great DM with my own dices! :-)

Handy things, dice.

I find it's handy to have one d20 for each player, as well as a few for yourself, make sure you get them all in different colours.

Let's not forget you also need books, books are what makes D&D expensive.

Tulac 03-11-2006 09:50 PM

Nah you only need PHB, the rest is imagination, of course Monster Manual and DM guide come in handy, but they're only here so you have less work.

Havell 03-11-2006 11:00 PM

You could say at a stretch that the Monster Manual is unnecessary, but you would have to go to really quite great lengths in order to not use the DM's guide.

They're still £18 each in any case (unless you get them cheap, of course).

I have all of them on my comp. PHB, DM's guide, MM, completes and all that stuff, some of which I haven't read yet. :) Those guys, who translated them, made a great work and a big respect to them.

Congrats, DM Nick!

However, my poker dices are enough for me...

BeefontheBone 04-11-2006 10:08 PM

Ooooh, haven't played poker dice in years...

My boyfriend has hundreds of dices.. he once accidentally dropped the bowl in which he keeps them, on my face. That sorta hurt...
