Well I don't have it.

Did you try running the game without sound ?
and did you try it with ems/xms off ?

Yes and Yes. Thanks anyway.
Even when I have Windows 3.1 KOM was an annoying game to get running. There was constant breakage due to the sound. And the installation screen would freeze up all the time. The weird thing is in XP the installation screen doesn't work at all however the time does. Ha. Odd. I wish it worked, such a good game and I never completed it!

I am going to try it with a Virtual PC Console. UPDATE: Basically it doesn't have enough memory to install properly. So I tried Dos Bot and D Fend again and i have finally got the installation screen up. However now I cannot install it to the C:\games\kom default directory. This is really annoying me. I need some help.

Try mounting the directory of the place you have the files you wish to install from as a:\, and mount your c: drive as c:\.

I got it to work through your suggestion of mounting C and C through D fend. The installation worked etc etc. Thank you SO much. Ha.

That's good to hear, altough you'll be better off if you create a dedicated dos-game directory on your hard drive. Less chance to mess anything up by an accident.

Okay, so I've gotten the game to get to the installation. Unfortunately, it won't accept any file directory I type in. Anyone have any advice? I would use D-Fend but I can no longer find it. The creator has let the webpage die and that seemed to be the only place I could download it.

how 'doesnt accept'? does it write any error?
make a screenshot if there is something to see
