I suggested some time ago a company profiles section.I have made a profile for westwood, and now it's your turn to contribute.
Each member can do 1 review and only one, so think about your choice.Also i'd advise against rushing to choose the giants sierra, lucas Arts and interplay, unless you REALLY know something about them.
Take your pics from the companies on the site.Post your pick(only your pick, not the actual review!) here, and i will modify the list accordingly.In case several persons choose the same company, i will hold only the most complete profile, in this way everyone has a chance.Also please note that the westwood company profile is still open, so if you have a better profile, submit it to me, and i will analyse it.Better yet, to avoid suspicions, i will contact an admin, and let him decide, should a westwood case occur.You have 7 days to submit your reviews.After that i will choose the ones that are most suitable for the site.
If anyone wants to take part in this, let me know(i'm referring to people that have intimate knowledge regarding some companies, and that can help me in sorting the reviews).Again i'm asking that you pick the company that you know the most things about, not the most popular one.I will be off line(as usual :whistle: ) this weekend, but i'll check out the submissions on monday.Once you have finished a profile send it to me via a PM.You may inspire your review from other sites, but don't copy the whole document.Be original!!

Nobody?? When i launched the idea many people wanted to do some, now nobody wants?? :blink:

I could try and do one on Sierra. It's the only company I actually know anything worthwhile 'bout. Still don't really know what you expect of the submission... in which form it has to be, what should be in it... those things.

Well basically the review has to be objective.You shouldn't write stuff like:"My opinion is that the company didn't do this right because <long line of babble here>".Nobody is interested in what you think(this sound harsh i know).It's all about guidelines:
EX:
Software company x was founded in <date + location>, by <names>.In <date> the company released their first game, <game name>.<talk about the game>, move on to the next game, or important phase in the development of the company.So on
Of course you may express your viewpoint, but don't overdo it.As i said you may consult other resources, but don't copy the exact phrases.Of course you are free to make your review as you see fit, as long as it sticks to the subject, and it provides relevant info.

You realise that all who help the site, and make good profiles are closer to VIP, right? You won't get VIP for this solely, but i'm sure Kosta will make note of the ones who help me...

all I know about most companies is they make games and try to make you into mindless game zombies.. tends to work, too..

I guess I'll do Legend Entertainment, then, seeing as how Omuletzu caught me redhanded, stating I liked them. :)

But I'd like a bit more information about how these profiles should be. Mainly I'd like to know how long it should be. Is there a maximum length?

Anyway, if this goes well I wouldn't mind trying out Mindscape afterwards.

Ah yes size: well it doesn't matter.Legend is a pretty important company, but as i remember, it didn't live much.So anyway you are free to write as much as you can as long as you present facts not fiction!
