Hi all,
well...oldies but goldies?
Where have those good old jump & runs like Pitfall, Jill of the Jungle, Duke Nukem etc. vanished I spent many nights and even whole weekends playing?
Were they...humm...somehow... abandoned?
And is there any chance to run them with Win XP - assumed I can find them somewhere?

FreeFreddy 07-09-2004 02:54 PM

Perhaps they will, but only some of them if any at all. They will run without problems in DosBox, though. ;)

Believe it or not... those games are still sold.

Yeah, the ones you mentioned there are sold by 3d realms. You can find it in their store, believe it or not, for 10 bucks a floppy I think

I used to love those games, especially the Commander Keen series. I checked and id Software is still selling the entire series along with all of their other classic games.

Jill of the Jungle is still being sold as well, though Epic's prices are ridiculous.

I got Pitfall The Mayan adventure. Came with My IBM Aptiva (I hated that pc. It was a 386 and it ran slower then my older pc.)

Wow, they're still sold? Nearly unbelievable! It seems to be centuries ago, since I last played old Duke Nukem on my old 386...
Have a nice weekend, you all! :bye:

The fact that they still sell these games is great but for ten bucks a game that is just a rip-off.
