I was just wondering what the "Warn %" thing means on the side of my posts. See picture.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Everyone has a warn meter, but but only you can see yours. Only I can see mine, etc.

If you break the rules to often, or continuesly be rude to other people, then your warn level will increase and a red square will be filled in. I think if you get to 100% warn, then you are suspended.

If you play nice, then you don't have to worry about anything. I hope that makes sense to you.

It is in most, though some of them just don't display it to the users.

Yes thats why I like ivison best since you can set it so only you can see it.

Anyway, many forums use this type of warn-system.
Usualy it's 1 or 2 warnings and you'r out.
We have a more floating system.
We can warn ppl up to 5 times, or ban right away.. depending on what is the issue.
Usualy you have a "freebee" up to 40% (2 warnings) and at 60% (3:e warning) some sort of
minor punishment is issued in the lines of 24 hr posting-restrictions...
After that it can go from 24 hr suspention, 7 day suspention, 1 month suspention or even permanent ban.
We issue warnings not only for offences on the forum, but also for the shoutbox. Same rules apply.

MOSTLY however, we try with just sending a basic PM explaining what the user did wrong, telling
what the rules are, and politly ask to comply. Works in 9 of 10 cases.

Highest warnlevel issued must be on of the bots we've "nuked".. was in the line of 120.000% warnlevel..
Unfortunally it only shows 100% :( But it had 6.000 warning-points listed :) yay! :titan:
