Alternative to Gravis GamePads?

I couldn't have imagined that the Gravis GamePads aren't sold anymore until I read it today. Do you know any similar gamepads? I want to get one or two if I buy a notebook, so it should probably be in the shape of the original one to fit well into the side pocket of the notebook bag. But do not not come up with a suggestion in the other shape; maybe my brother really gets me a notebook backpack. USB connection necessary rather more than less. Thanks. :)

I don't really know how's the exact shape you want. I've googled for images of "gravis gamepad" and there was not a single shape in the results, but I do have a cheap gamepad that's quite identical to most of the results, a Logitech Precision (USB PnP).

I feel we have a differing understanding of the term shape here. The Logitech has a similar shape to the GamePad Pro which is actually shaped like the original PlayStation controller. The original GamePad is shaped like the SNES controller.

[edit] Did you mean: not uniform as in there were multiple shapes? [/edit]

Yep had no idea the SNES-like was the "original". Hm now I think I'm remembering one link I saw, possibly here at AB forums, to an online store selling replicas including SNES gamepads, and they might be USB maybe for the SNES itself...? A cursory search revealed nothing, sorry. I don't really know anything useful. :p

well it seems that you are looking for a "flat" game pad...
here are some options available at amazon.com
they even have the one you were looking for:
option1 (My only doubt is if it is Usb ported)
option2 (seems a nice option)
option3 (looking for a laptop gamepad, right?)
:max:

please let us know which one you like the most...
