Many Turkish state names are wrong.

I dont know where did you collect Turkish state names but some of them are wrong. I had to select Constantinople when I register. It is called Istanbul since 1770 , and many Turkish people (including me) find insulting that calling it as Constantinople.

Errata is here:

Adrianople => Edirne
Afion-Kara-Hissar => Afyonkarahisar
Aidin => Aydin
Amasia => Amasya
Angora => Ankara
Ayintap => Antep
Brusa => Bursa
Canik => Samsun
Constantinople => Istanbul
Diarbakir => Diyarbakir
Edessa => Sanliurfa
Erzerum => Erzurum
Gumusane Vilayeti => Gumushane
Hakari => Hakkari
Hamitabat => <NULL> (NOT A STATE)
Kaisaria => Kayseri
Kars Ili => Kars
Kirk-Kilissa => Kirklareli
Konia => Konya
Malatia => Malatya

Thanks.

The country list unfortunately can't be fixed at the moment, as the site admins don't have access to alter that feature. The list even excludes Russia, New Zealand and Thailand entirely, among others. And you'd think the webteam who constructed the site would've noticed that Constantinople is now Istanbul O.o Sorry about that. No insult intended.

Opinions about that differ.

Maybe you should sue Wiki.

Indeed, no insult intended, Italian ones are wrong too btw.

And you may also add 80% of my country's ones.
Dutch ones are translated badly into French and vice versa.
And I even don't want to mention the German speaking part of België
BTW, it isn't Belgium but België, Belgique or Belgien .....
:yawn:

Also known as "that boring stretch of road between Amsterdam and Paris"... :perv:

dosraider 20-10-2008 01:43 PM

-_-
At least we do have roads over here, not some bush_buffalo_paths.
:bleh:

I'll have you know we have some lovely roads. And they don't have any Belgians on them. :p

Bonus, ne?

Dream on pumpkin, South Africa was pretty popular for Belgians (the Dutch speaking anyway) who fled their country after the WW2 repression.

And more: it's still amongst the more wanted for those who want to emigrate....
:bleh:

Maybe we're family .....
LMAO.
