Anything that you intend to happen in the next year, will happen in any case. If you want it and will do something for it.
What matters rather, is to forgive all people the troubles and insults they did to you, become friends with them if you stopped to be. Try to be more nice to people, and your life be more nice, too. After all, this is a holiday where people leave old troubles behind and gather new hope for better things in the new year. ;)
