32bit DOSBox vs 64bit DOSBox on Linux
 

I made this simple performance comparison using Quake's and DOOM's timedemo features.

The result:
if you want to play Quake on Linux with DOSBox use the 32bit version even on a 64bit OS. I tested some Build engine games aswell, got about 10 frames/s more with the 32bit DOSBox.
