Dave - My turn?
I'm preparing a complete package for Turrican II - The Final Fight
FTP folder created and Archive uploaded as .zip file.
I've found the source of those rare boxshots, I'll send a mail for permissions. :) P.s. can you test if the archive works for you? *How to run the game* (Taken from review) Quote:

Turrican :rocks:
I had a really positive answer about those extras from Mr. T.R.Smith, administrator of the site and author of the manual :OK:
I'll add credits to the review :) http://www.nemmelheim.de/turrican/ |
Little summary for Turrican II:
I've just prepared the Intro video for YouTube, but I'm having problems with FTP, for unknown reasons I can't upload files.
Are you having similar problems? |

The funny thing is that I'm using the main admin account, it worked for last updates, I guess it's something related to server change :mhh:
I'll try using the common procedure. |
Uncutted version of the Intro uploaded into YouTube folder. :onftp:
It's a 24,4MB .zip file, around 5,36. It can be refined a bit. Now I want to understand why the upload doesn't work with a full permission profile :p |
I've modified screenshots manually because DosBox captured them with a resolution of 304x228 pixels instead of the default 320x200 pixels.

If you view in FileZila you see Dave and bobinator1992 have 48 while all other have 500 (in other words the full Permission). I say it again: Use Fmanager only for copy, move and deleting and FileZila for Creating and uploading! |
Ok, didn't know :OK:
I've substituted my folder with a new one with full permissions using Filezilla.
Uploading these videos:
I think you should somehow use the keymapper (Ctrl+F1).
Yes, I've found and changed "video" tag, thank you :)
I had problems of audio/video synchronization, however it seems to be only a problem of visualization related to the Windows Media Player codec because they are displayed correctly using VirtualDub.
I'm uploading these videos:
I'm uploading other 2 :)
Uhmm, Dave, I'm not going to start cutting videos. It takes additional time for that.
I'll do that then, just need to find time.
[edit] I've edited and substituted them all, now they are ready for the logo. |
I'm uploading "Desert Strike - Return to the Gulf" Intro
USH!!
I did these videos during pauses at Uni :hihihi:
I had lot of fun recording these :), luckily I have found saves and passcodes that made me save lot of time.
I'll start uploading again, when I will find some time.
Uploading the following videos:
Yay, they are up! Thank you :)
I forgot to upload these two Alien Breed related things: Extras: Alien Breed - Level Codes.txt (Made by me, those on the net sometimes are wrong) Video: Alien Breed - Tower Assault Intro (Enanched Version) P.s. the version of Alien Breed we offer for download is the windows remake. I think we should simply add the "ESA Logo" to underline that we don't offer the original game, (You know Team17 has recently started a new crusade against Abandonware sites) and leave the link into review. This will avoid problems. |
Ok, will protect Alien Breed.
Btw, you know we include links to our pages in the video info. So waht do we do with videos for games not on site like Superfrog or Fifth's Earthsiege II/Zombie Wars videos. Do we upload them, just without the links? |
Perfect thanks, I would say without the links. We may add protected games in a second moment since they are not a priority.
We are also a sort museum after all. :) |
More free time = more videos :)
I'm going to upload these videos I prepared, I gave priority to those games already presented:
I have other videos in queue, but considering that I have uploaded more than 1GB of material (and that virtually makes me the n°1 contributor of AB :p )...I'm waiting that few of my videos will be uploaded and my folder cleaned a bit. There's no hurry of course.
Reserved:
I'm uploading one of them, James Pond videos can be deleted.
Anyways I have a backup of every video I did, just ask if you need me to upload one of them again.

yeah, it's the same fight, you must beat Max twice, after that he shows his real Cyborg nature. And you must beat the Terminator for 2 rounds :p
Yeah, now I remember, it's been a while. All the time people were speaking that the game is easiest to beat if you play with Kosak. I only managed to beat the game with Dug (if that's the name of that fat sailor).
Yes, Dug :) ,but actually he reminds me a wrestler.
I finished it with Ninja, he is not my favourite but the sword is really strong if used in the right way. |
New Video:
I've just uploaded a new video for YT channel, I've switched to DosBox 0.74, don't know if there's some difference from videos recorded with 0.73 :
In case it's too big let me know and I'll split it, max YT requirement should be 15 minutes IIRC. |
It was 10 minutes last time I've checked, but it works up to 10:50 :)
They upped it to 15 minutes recently.
That's nice, we could even increase the quality of our videos adding walkthroughs, tutorials, and I have another idea in mind...FUUUUU videos :p
Few months ago I tried to record Zorro Gameplay, if you played it you know what I mean :ouch: , the result was "the story of a thousand deaths". :smile2: |

I've found the time to record new videos, I'm uploading them:
And for the joy of marko_river we have "Jungle Strike - Gameplay" on the way :)
:D
I feel like responding somehow... Like Crusader gameplay.. But the time is such a problem... |
Uploading two new videos :)

Should be ok, I always check them twice. Be sure to visualize it using Virtual Dub because if you open it with Media Player (with the codec suggested by dosbox team) you'll see that music problem.
Perhaps I was unclear... it is in the bare dosbox that music doesn't play as it should... I mean music is fine, it is the speed of the music and the animation that doesn't match. Otherwise, I would have submitted this intro last summer or something.
Ok, let me know, all seems fine here.
I had problems in the past recording videos using old DosBox versions, those problems disappeared with 0.73 and 0.74, maybe that's the reason? |
Don't know till I check. I hope you're right :)
Holy sheep, you are right :ouch:
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! |
